MIDRAND – Triviron Project Management (TPM) celebrated more than two decades of business success on Friday evening, using the occasion to highlight the people, partnerships and values that have shaped the company’s journey over the past 20 years.
The black-tie gala, held at Divine Sunset Venue in Midrand, brought together clients, business leaders, industry partners, employees, family members and friends to celebrate the milestone. While the evening reflected on the company’s achievements in project management, civil and structural engineering, it also focused on the people behind its success.Throughout the programme, speakers shared stories of resilience, leadership and the steady growth of a company that has built its reputation on integrity, professionalism and long-term relationships.
A recurring theme during the celebration was Triviron’s commitment to investing in young people. Around 60% of the company’s workforce is made up of young professionals, many of whom have benefited from mentorship, training and structured career development programmes.Speaking during the event, TPM Executive of Human Resources and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Thembi Mahlope, said developing people has always been at the heart of the business.”Triviron Project Management not only employs young people, but has intentionally created systems and development programmes that ensure every individual continues to grow throughout their career. It is an organisation committed to developing leaders for the future,” said Mahlope.
She said the company’s success is measured not only by the projects it delivers but also by the opportunities it creates for employees to grow personally and professionally.Several speakers also paid tribute to Chief Executive Officer Phenyo Mathopa, describing him as a leader whose humility, consistency and vision have helped shape the company’s culture over the past two decades.
They said his leadership has fostered an environment where relationships are valued as highly as technical excellence, creating a workplace built on trust, accountability and teamwork.Addressing guests, Mathopa reflected on the principles that have guided the business since its establishment.”I learned very early that success is never accidental. To build a business that lasts, you need strong systems, sound governance and a sustainable operating model. Those foundations have guided every decision we have made over the past twenty years,” he said.
He said maintaining high standards and staying true to the company’s values had enabled Triviron to grow while earning the confidence of clients across the country. The evening also recognised the employees who have contributed to the company’s success over the years. During a special awards ceremony, staff members were honoured for their dedication, leadership and outstanding service.
Guests also gained an insight into the company’s culture, with employees describing their weekly team meetings as “family gatherings” a tradition that reflects the close relationships and sense of belonging that have become part of the organisation’s identity.
As the celebrations came to an end, there was a shared sense of optimism about the future. After 20 years of growth, Triviron Project Management is looking ahead to its next chapter with a continued focus on developing young talent, strengthening partnerships and delivering quality projects that leave a lasting impact.For the company, the anniversary was not simply about marking the passage of time, but about celebrating a legacy built on people, purpose and the belief that investing in others is the foundation of lasting success.
