Bringing Warmth and Comfort to Dogs this Winter

Community Led Animal Welfare (CLAW) recently received a donation of 35 blankets and dog food collected during a blanket and dog food drive held on the IIE MSA Ruimsig campus.

IIE MSA has been running this initiative for four years. The blankets and food were handed over to CLAW by members of IIE MSA Cares (student volunteer body). The IIE MSA Cares members also helped clean the shelter and walked the dogs after the handover. IIE MSA is an educational brand of the

Independent Institute of Education (The IIE). Said Michelle Weedman (Manager at CLAW): “The animal welfare on average admits 100 dogs per month for treatment of various medical conditions.

At any given time, we have on average 30-40 dogs that are looking to be adopted. The donation will really help with keeping the dogs warm this Winter”. CLAW aims to educate the local communities on responsible pet ownership by covering correct shelter, proper tick control, dietary requirements and vaccinations.
