Carnival City Marks 26 Years of Fun and Fortune

Celebrations light up the East Rand with music, colour and jackpots

Ekurhuleni, Carnival City turned 26 this October, celebrating more than two decades of entertainment, excitement and big wins with a spectacular Mardi Gras–themed birthday bash.

The celebration brought together loyal patrons, local entertainers and new visitors for a weekend packed with colour, music and giveaways. Guests were treated to gaming promotions worth nearly R7 million, live shows from award-winning artists including Lira and Amanda Black, and an atmosphere filled with joy and nostalgia.

Since opening its doors in 1999, Carnival City has become one of Gauteng’s most recognisable entertainment destinations, known for its vibrant casino floor, family-friendly attractions and live performances.

The 26th anniversary festivities captured that spirit perfectly a blend of glitz, community and the thrill of possibility that has defined Carnival City for more than two decades.
